Abstract:
Provided are: a polycarbonate resin composition for optical components which retains intact properties originally possessed by polycarbonate resins, such as heat resistance and mechanical strength, and is excellent in terms of light transmittance and hue even when molded at high temperatures, and which has excellent hydrolytic resistance; and a molded article comprising the polycarbonate resin composition. The polycarbonate resin composition for optical components comprises a polycarbonate resin (A), a polyether derivative (B), a phosphorous ester compound (C) that is not bis(2,4-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenyl)pentaerythritol diphosphite, and an epoxy compound (D), and is characterized in that the amounts of the polyether derivative (B), the phosphorous ester compound (C), and the epoxy compound (D) are 0.1-2.0 parts by mass, 0.01-0.5 parts by mass, and 0.001-0.2 parts by mass, respectively, per 100 parts by mass of the polycarbonate resin (A).
