A polycarboxylate water reducer, characterized by comprising a compound B, an unsaturated acid, an unsaturated amide monomer, and an unsaturated polyether macromonomer at a mass ratio of (10-40):(10-20):(2-8):200. The compound B is an esterification product of a preservative compound A and an unsaturated acid anhydride. The polycarboxylate water reducer formulated from the above components can greatly improve anti-corrosion effects of the polycarboxylate water reducer itself, thereby prolonging the shelf life of the polycarboxylate water reducer, such that the polycarboxylate water reducer has better water-reducing performance. Moreover, the polycarboxylate water reducer formulated from the above components does not require an additional preservative to be added in a subsequent compounding process of the polycarboxylate water reducer, however the compounded polycarboxylate water reducer still has good anti-corrosion performance, the polycarboxylate water reducer can be kept for a long time without deteriorating, and the polycarboxylate water reducer still has good water reducing performance.
