Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a polyester base fabric for airbags, said polyester base fabric using polyester fibers that are capable of reducing the cost, while maintaining the mechanical characteristics required for a base fabric for airbags, and exhibiting high restraint performance for receiving an occupant when expanded, said restraint performance being maintained at high level even if the polyester base fabric is changed with the passage of time. The present invention provides, as a means for solving the problem, a polyester base fabric for airbags, said polyester base fabric being provided with a resin on at least one surface, while being characterized in that: the crimp ratio of the polyester base fabric is optimized; and the number of scrubbing tests after a 408-hour deterioration treatment at 70°C at 95% RH is 400 or more.
