Abstract:
Provided are a polyester polyol resin having high solubility in weak solvents and having exceptional solvent resistance and balance of hardness and flexibility in a cured film, a curable resin composition in which the same is used, a coating, and a coated steel plate. A polyester polyol resin having a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) within the range of 3,000-120,000, wherein the polyester polyol resin is characterized by having, as essential reaction raw materials, (A) 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, (B) a diol compound that has an ether bond site in the molecular structure, and (C) a C4-8 aliphatic dicarboxylic acid compound or a derivative thereof.
