Title:
POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED BODY MADE OF SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/040175
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a polyester resin composition which enables to obtain a molded body having excellent ultraviolet-shielding properties and transparency. This polyester resin composition is also excellent in workability and thus does not cause die contamination by a sublimate. Specifically disclosed is a polyester resin composition obtained by dispersing 0.01-20% by mass of an ultrafine particulate metal oxide (B) in an aromatic polyester (A). This polyester resin composition is characterized in that the ultrafine particulate metal oxide (B) has an average particle diameter of not more than 100 nm, the surface of the ultrafine particulate metal oxide (B) is covered with an organosilicon compound, and the average particle diameter X of the ultrafine particulate metal oxide (B) in the aromatic polyester (A) satisfies the following formula (1). 1 ≤ X/Y ≤ 5 (1) (In the formula, X represents the average particle diameter (nm) of the ultrafine particulate metal oxide (B) in the aromatic polyester (A), and Y represents the average particle diameter (nm) of the primary particles of the ultrafine particulate metal oxide (B) before being dispersed in the aromatic polyester (A).)
