Abstract:
A polyester resin, a polyester resin composition, and a molded product thereof, having low dielectric loss in high-frequency communications. The polyester resin is at least prepared from polymerization of a dicarboxylic acid component and a diol component. The dicarboxylic acid component contains terephthalic acid and/or a derivative thereof able to form an ester, and the diol component contains 1,4-butanediol and 1,2-propylene glycol. Relative to the total mass of monomeric units originating from the diol component in the polyester resin, the content of monomeric units originating from the 1,2-propylene glycol is 2-15 mol%. The content of tetramethylene ether glycol units in the polyester resin is less than 0.015 mmol/g.
