Abstract:
A polyester resin composition (A) comprising a polyethylene terephthalate copolymer comprising 5 to 40 % by mole of naphthalenedicarboxylic acid units (copolymer PET), a cobalt compound and/or a manganese compound, an olefin polymer, and a predetermined amount of a compatibilizing agent; and another polyester resin composition (B) containing predetermined amounts of a cobalt compound and a manganese compound in the copolymer PET. The compositions are excellent in resistance to hydrogen peroxide, flavor barrier properties, gas barrier properties, heat sealability, and mechanical properties such as elongation and strength, so that they can be utilized in various applications including packaging materials for containers for beverages containing a perfume component, such as fruit juice beverages.
