Abstract:
The present invention relates to a polyester tire cord, which is made of a polyester fiber, has at least 1.2 g/d of 5% LASE measured by ASTM D885 at 80°C, has at least 1.0 g/d of 5% LASE measured by ASTM D885 at 120°C, and has at least 65% toughness retention at 80°C and 120°C. The tire cord of the present invention has a modulus equivalent to that of rayon even in a high-temperature environment of at least 120°C, and has excellent dimensional stability and heat resistance, and thus can be advantageously applied to a high-performance tire.
