Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polygon detection device, a polygon detection method, and a polygon detection program for accurately detecting, from an image, a polygon that is similar to a reference polygon. This polygon detection device acquires the ratio of the lengths of the sides of a reference polygon included in the external form of a predetermined object. The polygon detection device includes an image acquisition means for acquiring a photographic image of the predetermined object and detects line segments from an acquired photographic image. The polygon detection device forms at least one polygon on the basis of the detected line segments. The polygon detection device specifies, from the formed polygon, a polygon corresponding to the reference polygon on the basis of the degree of similarity between the ratio of the lengths of the sides of the formed polygon and the ratio of the lengths of the sides of the acquired reference polygon.
