The invention provides a polyhydric polymer-based solid electrolyte, which is prepared by physical and chemical reaction of a polyhydric polymer matrix, a polar organic compound as dispersant, and an inorganic ion donor. It is a solid-colloidal shift electrolyte in terms of change of temperature, that presents solid state below the room temperature and colloidal state over 40^°C, so it not only holds some characters of liquid, such as low resistance to migration of ion, high conductivity, and so on, but also can be solidified in room conditions, which solves the proems of liquid electrolyte in difficult for package, easy leakiness and volatilization, and also makes the dye-sensitized solar cell more practical. In addition, it can also b˜ used for solid second cell, electroluminescent material, electrochromic material, sensor and so on.
