Abstract:
It is intended to provide a polyketone containing 1-oxotrimethylene in an amount of from 95 to 100% by mol of the repeating unit and having a limiting viscosity of from 2.5 to 20 dl/g, wherein the content of elemental Pd ranges from 0 to 20 ppm, the terminal structure contains an alkyl ester group (a terminal group A) and an alkyl ketone group (a terminal group B) and the equivalent rate of the terminal group A to the terminal group B ranges from 0.1 to 8.0. This polyketone can be used in an arbitrary form such as a fiber or a film and is widely applicable to clothes, reinforcing agents for rubbers, resins, cements, optical fibers, etc., electronic materials, battery materials, civil engineering materials, medical materials, livelihood materials, fishery materials, packaging materials and so on.
