Abstract:

The polylactic acid compound according to the present invention contains polylactic acid and an ethylene resin, and is characterized in that the ethylene resin is selected so that a melt flow rate ratio (RMF) defined by formula (1): RMF = APLA/BPE (1) is within the range of 0.5 to 10, where APLA represents the melt flow rate of polylactic acid measured at 210°C and 2.16 kg, and BPE represents the melt flow rate of the ethylene resin measured at 190°C and 2.16 kg. The polylactic acid compound is preferably used in molding of a container having particularly improved alkali resistance and environmental stress crack resistance.
