Disclosed is a resin composition which is improved in heat resistance (high crystallinity) and transparency without deteriorating toughness intrinsic to polylactic acid resins. Also disclosed are a molded body obtained from such a resin composition, and a novel polylactic acid compound used in such a resin composition. Specifically disclosed is a polylactic acid resin composition characterized by containing a linear polylactic acid compound (A) having a moiety represented by the following formula (1): -X1-R1-X2- and a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 5,000-500,000. In the formula (1), X1 and X2 independently represent an O atom, an S atom or an NH group, and R1 represents a divalent group containing at least one aromatic ring or aliphatic ring. The hydrocarbon group may contain an O, N or S atom.
