Abstract:
This polymer has the constituent unit represented in general formula (1) and has a metal-oxygen-metal bond as primary chain, wherein M represents a metal atom selected from the group consisting of Al, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, In, Sn, Sb, Hf, Ta, W and Bi; R1 is selected from a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group with 1-8 carbons, an alkylcarbonyl group with 1-8 carbons, an aryl group with 6-12 carbons, an aralkyl group with 7-13 carbons, an (R5 3Si-) group, (R6R7N-) group, a 4-oxopent-2-en-2-yl group, a 4-alkoxy-4-oxobut-2-en-2-yl group with 5-12 carbons, and a 4-aryloxy-4-oxobut-2-en-2-yl group with 10-16 carbons; R2 and R3 are independently a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group with 1-8 carbons; R4 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group with 1-8 carbons, or an alkyl carbonyl group with 1-8 carbons; R5 is a hydroxy group, an alkyl group with 1-8 carbons, an alicyclic alkyl group with 5-12 carbons, an alkoxy group with 1-12 carbons, an aryl group with 6-12 carbons, an aralkyl group with 7-13 carbons, or a group having a siloxane bond; the R5s can be the same or different; R6 and R7 are independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group with 1-8 carbons, an alicyclic alkyl group with 5-12 carbons, an aryl group with 6-12 carbons, an aralkyl group with 7-13 carbons, or an acyl group of 1-12 carbons; R6 and R7 are linked via a carbon-carbon saturated bond or a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond and optionally form a ring structure; m is an integer indicating the valence of the metal atom M; a is an integer 1-(m-2), b is an integer 1-6 and c is an integer 1-5. A polymer is provided which has as the primary chain a metal-oxygen-metal bond which is stable without aggregation or gelation even at a high concentration or high viscosity.
