Abstract:

To provide a polymer from which water and oil resistant-paper, having excellent water resistance and oil resistance, can be obtained.　This polymer has at least unit b from among unit a below, unit b below, and unit c below, wherein the proportion of unit a is 28-70 mol%, and the total proportion of unit b and unit c is 30-72 mol%, with respect to all units that constitute the polymer, and the proportion of unit b with respect to the total of unit b and unit c is 45 mol% or more. Unit a: a unit represented by -(CH2-CHRf)- (Rf is a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms). Unit b: a unit represented by -(CH2-CH(OH))-. Unit c: a unit represented by -(CH2-CH(OC(=O)R))- (R is an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms).
