Abstract:
The present invention provides: a polymer that allows the production of an article having excellent water- and oil-repellency; a method for producing the polymer; a water- and oil-repellent composition comprising the polymer; and an article having excellent water- and oil-repellency. The polymer according to the present invention has a unit (a) represented by formula (1) and a unit (b) represented by formula (2), wherein: the proportion of the unit (a) with respect to the total of the unit (a) and the unit (b) is 20-60 mol%; and the proportion of the unit (b) with respect to the total of the unit (a) and the unit (b) is 40-80 mol%. Formula (1): -(CH2-CHRf)-; Formula (2): -(CH2-CH-(O-C(=O)NH-Rd))-, where Rf is a perfluoroalkyl group with having 1-8 carbons, and Rd is an alkyl group having 6-24 carbons.
