A polymer characterized by comprising repeating units represented by the formula (1) and having a number-average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene of 103 to 108: (1) wherein Ar1 and Ar2 each represents an aromatic hydrocarbon group or heterocyclic group; one of X1 and X2 represents C(=O) or C(R1)(R2) and the other represents oxygen, sulfur, C(=O), etc.; M represents O-C(=O), C(=O)-O, oxygen, sulfur, C(=O), etc.; Z1 represents -CR=CR- or -C≡C-; and d is 0 or 1.
