Abstract:
Provided are: a polymer which is capable of forming a coating film that has both water resistance and antifouling properties associated with superhydrophilicity; a resin composition; an antifouling coating material composition; a method for producing the above-described polymer; and a method for forming a structure for stabilizing a carbamate on the surface of a coating film and a method for regenerating a structure for stabilizing a carbamate on the surface of a coating film, each of which uses the above-described polymer. A polymer which reacts with CO2 in the presence of water and has a structure for stabilizing a carbamate to be produced, and which satisfies formula (1). (contact angle in water after reaction with CO2) - (contact angle in water before reaction with CO2) ≥ 10 formula (1)
