Abstract:

A polymeric or medical material comprising (A) a copolymer prepared by the copolymerization of a monomer mixture comprising a monomer having a side chain of general formula (1) (R1, R2 and R3: H or C1-C4 alkyl) and a hydrophobic monomer and (B) at least one hydrophobic polymer other than the copolymer (A) and having a separate-phase structure wherein the domains of the copolymer (A) having sizes of hundreds of 'mu'm or below are uniformly distributed in the phase of the hydrophobic polymer (B); and a liquid polymer composition prepared by dissolving the above copolymer (A) and the above hydrophobic polymer (B) in a solvent mixture comprising a halogenated hydrocarbon and a lower alcohol and having a turbidity of 60 % or below.
