Abstract:
The present invention provides a polymerizable composition that includes an amine and a polymerizable azomethine compound that has an azomethine group and a polymerizable group. The composition optionally includes a chiral compound, a liquid crystal compound that does not have an azomethine group, and/or a polymerization initiator or the like. The present invention also provides a film that is obtained by curing the polymerizable composition. The polymerizable composition and film according to the present invention are transparent and uncolored, and are useful in the manufacture of a variety of optical members, including phase difference membranes and reflective membranes.
