Abstract:
Provided is a polymerizable composition which comprises a cycloolefin monomer and a ruthenium carbene complex represented by general formula (I).
(In general formula (I), R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a cyclic or chain C1-20 hydrocarbon group optionally containing one or more halogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus, or silicon atoms; X1 and X2 each independently represent an anionic ligand; L1 and L2 each independently represent a neutral electron-donating ligand; L2 is a group that is sterically bulkier than L1, and L1 and L2 are in the cis position relative to each other; R1 and R2 may have been bonded to each other to form an aliphatic or aromatic ring optionally containing a heteroatom; and R1, R2, X1, X2, L1, and L2 may have been bonded to each other in any combination to form a multidentate chelated ligand.)
