Abstract:
Provided is a polymerizable composition containing: a) a polymerizable compound that has one or more polymerizable groups and satisfies formula (I): Re(450 nm)/Re(550 nm)<1.0; and b) an organic solvent that has a solubility parameter (SP value) of 8.50-11.00 (cal/cm3)0.5, a boiling point of 75-180°C, and an evaporation rate index of 20-700. Also provided are an optically anisotropic body, a retardation film, an antireflection film, and a liquid crystal display device that are produced using the polymerizable composition. The polymerizable composition is useful because the polymerizable composition has excellent solubility and high storage stability, by which the deposition of liquid crystals does not occur, and, when a film-shaped polymerized product obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable composition is produced, the polymerized product maintains liquid crystal alignability and is unlikely to give rise to coating unevenness.
