Abstract:
Provided are: a polymerization catalyst with which copolymerization of a conjugated diene compound with an α-olefin can be conducted under mild temperature conditions; and a conjugated diene compound/α-olefin copolymer obtained using this polymerization catalyst. The polymerization catalyst comprises: a metal complex obtained by mixing at least one ketimine derivative selected from the group consisting of β-ketimine compounds and tautomers thereof with a compound containing at least one metal selected from among the transition metals in Groups 4 and 5; an organoaluminum compound; and a halogen compound.
