Abstract:
The present invention provides a polymerization reactor for producing a super absorbent polymer, comprising: a reaction unit; a monomer composition supply unit which is connected to the reaction unit to supply a monomer composition solution containing a monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, and a solvent; a stirring shaft arranged in the reaction unit and connected from one end of the reaction unit, at which the monomer composition supply unit is connected, to the other end of the reaction unit; a plurality of stirring blades arranged along the circumference of the stirring shaft; and a light illumination unit which illuminates light onto the monomer composition solution provided by the monomer composition supply unit. The present invention also provides a method for producing a super absorbent polymer using the polymerization reactor.
