Abstract:
Imagining the possibility of further film-thinning and cost reduction in the future, this battery separator provides a battery separator in which a polyolefin laminated porous film for modified porous layer lamination and a modified porous layer are laminated, the battery separation having a very high peel strength between the polyolefin laminated porous film and the modified porous layer and being suitable for high speed processing in slitting steps and battery assembly steps. The present invention is a polyolefin laminated porous film obtained from at least two layers, wherein: projections obtained from polyolefin satisfy 5 µm ≤ W ≤ 50 µm (W is the size of the projection) and 0.5 µm ≤ H (H is the height of the projection) and are scattered irregularly on one surface at 3 projections/cm2 to 200 projections/cm2; the film has a meltdown temperature of at least 165°C and an air impermeability of not more than 300 sec/100 cc air; and the film thickness is not more than 20 µm.
