Abstract:
A polyolefin resin composition excellent in flame retardance and mechanical characteristics as well as in wear resistance; and electric wires made by using the same. A polyolefin resin composition characterized by containing as flame retardant magnesium hydroxide particles wherein a higher fatty acid is bonded to parts of the surfaces of the particles and a reactive silicon oil is bonded to other parts thereof free from the acid; and electric wires provided with sheath layers made from the composition.
