Abstract:
A polyphase AC to DC converter consisting of a number of buck converters having their outputs connected in series. In a preferred embodiment three buck converters are used for a 3 phase AC supply. In another embodiment two buck converts are used for a 3 phase AC supply. The AC inputs may be connected in star or delta configuration. The buck converters may include power factor correction stages and/or isolation transformers.
