Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a poly(phenylene ether)-based flame-retardant resin composition which is excellent in terms of flame retardancy and long-lasting flame retardancy.
The flame-retardant resin composition comprises (A) a resin comprising (A-1) a poly(phenylene ether) and (B) a flame retardant, and is characterized in that the content of the component (A-1) is 50 mass% or higher when the matter obtained by subtracting the ash matter, which is the residue remaining after the flame-retardant resin composition is burned, from the flame-retardant resin composition is taken as 100 mass%. The flame-retardant resin composition is further characterized in that when a molded article formed from the flame-retardant resin composition and having dimensions of 12.6 cm (length) × 1.3 cm (width) × 1.6 mm (thickness) is subjected to an aging treatment in which the molded article is allowed to stand in the air at 150ºC for 1,000 hours, then the change in chloroform-insoluble content through the treatment is 15 mass% or less.
