Abstract:
A polyphenylene sulfide resin composition which contains (A) a polyphenylene sulfide resin, (B) an amino group-containing resin, (C) an elastomer that contains an epoxy group, and (X) at least one compound that has a molecular weight of 1,000 or less, while being selected from among carboxylic acids and carboxylic acid anhydrides, wherein: if the total content of the component (A), the component (B) and the component (C) is taken as 100% by mass, the content of the component (A) is from 20% by mass to 60% by mass; and with respect to the morphology of a molded article formed of this polyphenylene sulfide resin composition as observed with a transmission electronic microscope, the continuous phase is formed of the polyphenylene sulfide resin (A), and the dispersed phases are formed of the amino group-containing resin (B) and the elastomer (C) that contains an epoxy group. The present invention enables the achievement of: a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition which achieves a good balance among high flexibility, high toughness, thermal aging resistance and chemical resistance, while exhibiting excellent moldability; and a molded article which uses this polyphenylene sulfide resin composition.
