Abstract:
The present invention relates to a graft copolymer, which comprises polysaccharides as a backbone and monomers, containing a phosphorylcholine-like group, as a secondary chain. The present invention also relates to a composition comprising said copolymer as an active ingredient for skin or hair care. The graft copolymer of the present invention uses compounds containing a phosphorylcholine-like group, thus exhibiting improved moisturizing effects and superior biocompatibility as compared to existing polysaccharide-based graft copolymers. Therefore, the composition for skin or hair care comprising the graft copolymer of the present invention may also exhibit improved moisturizing effects, superior protective properties for damaged hair, improved affinity to the skin, effects in improving the skin barrier function, etc.
