Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel polysaccharide derivative which can be used in a separating agent for optical isomers. The disclosed novel polysaccharide derivative contains a structure wherein the hydrogen atom of the second hydroxyl group or amino group comprised in a structural unit of a polysaccharide has been substituted by a monovalent group represented by general formula (1), and the hydrogen atom of the third hydroxyl group or amino group comprised in the structural unit has been substituted by a monovalent group represented by general formula (2). (1) R1-NH-CO- (2) R2-NH-CO- (In formula (1) and formula (2), R1 and R2 represent different substituted or unsubstituted aryl groups).
