Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a thin-walled tube comprising polytetrafluoroethylene, and addresses the problem of providing a tube which has a great tensile strength, but has a great tensile elongation at break. The problem is solved by a polytetrafluoroethylene tube of which the wall thickness is 0.1 mm or less, or 5% or less with respect to the outer diameter, and which has a tensile elongation at break of 350% or more, and a melting energy of 0.6 J/g or more as calculated from an endothermic peak at 370°C ± 5°C in a heating process in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
