Abstract:
A polyurethane reaction promoter, a preparation method therefor, and a use thereof, pertaining to the field of polyurethane catalysts. The polyurethane reaction promoter is prepared by reacting a dihydroxy compound and methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride in a molar ratio of 1:1 at 90-120°C for 1-5 h. A carboxyl group contained in the reaction promoter can significantly accelerate the reaction speed of polyurethane, improving the drying speed of a polyurethane coating without affecting the chemical resistance of the polymer, and does not reduce the hardness and other mechanical properties of the polymer system. In addition, the polyurethane reaction promoter also has relatively low viscosity, and when used as a part of a film-forming substance, increases the solid parts of the polyurethane coating, decreases the amount of an organic solvent used, and reduces the emission of VOCs. The polyurethane reaction promoter is an acidic reaction accelerant, does not contain heavy metal components, does not have any pungent smell, and can meet various strict environmental protection requirements.
