Description:
POLYVALENT TOOL FOR GYMNASTICS WITH VARIABLE

SEATING

The present invention refers to a polyvalent tool for gymnastics with variable seating. In particular, the present invention refers to a polyvalent tool for gymnastics accessible for all people, with minimum overall sizes and with an easy placement, capable of allowing to perform physical activities, by affecting all muscles, in any place starting from one's own house in everyday life, to a hotel room during holidays or working journeys. The tool of the invention substantially has at least six faces with many planes and recesses adapted to receive different parts of the body of a user. The same planes are transformed into rests on the ground depending on the side of use and as function of balance positions assumed by the user.

Though many variations of polyvalent tools for gymnastics are present on the market and known, in relation to the Applicant's knowledge, there are no tools which are capable of offering such a wide range of exercises and uses.

The above products have the following disadvantages :

- they are not able to offer the same variety of exercises as the present invention;

- moreover, they cannot be used as stool/chair placed in front of a working plane during or after gymnastics activities; and

they are not as easily capable of being used, since their construction is not so easy as the current tool .

Object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing a new tool for gymnastics, which allows performing exercises for training balance, force and flexibility.

For its construction features, the tool of the invention allows performing structural exercises, on complex kinetic chains performed on unstable platforms, and enables a better muscular and intermuscular recruitment useful to gain not only a force capability, but also the muscular control, and consequently a better coordination.

Synthetically, with the use of this tool, it is possible to train muscle force, perceptive capability, articulation mobility, balance and elasticity capability for tendons and ligaments, and coordination capability.

The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will result from the following description, are obtained with a polyvalent tool for gymnastics with variable seating as claimed in the independent claim. Preferred embodiment and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.

It is intended that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present description.

The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:

- Figures 1, 2 and 3 are side perspective views of a tool according to the present invention, taken from the same point and showing the progressive exclusion of an element from the main body;

Figures 4, 5 and 6 are side perspective views of the tool rested on the ground on other planes with respect to Figures 1, 2 and 3; - Figures 7 to 13 are schematic views which show some of the use modes of the tool for gymnastics of the invention by a user; and

- Figures 14 to 20 are schematic views which show other use modes of the tool for gymnastics oif the invention by the user.

With reference to the Figures, some preferred embodiments of the polyvalent tool for gymnastics with variable seating according to the present invention are shown and described. It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) could be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention, as will appear from the enclosed claims.

As shown in the Figures, reference number 10 globally designates a tool for gymnastics according to the present invention.

Such tool for gymnastics 10 comprises at least one supporting element 11A, 11B, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17A, 17B adapted to assume a position of use in which it receives hands, and/or feet and/or body of a user; each of such supporting elements 11A, 11B, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17A, 17B is moreover adapted to assume an operating position as abutment plane of the tool for gymnastics 10 alternative to the position of use.

As shown in the parallelepiped-shaped embodiment of the figure, the tool comprises six sides, wherein such tool 10 comprises a main support plane 14 aimed to receive the user, both with the help of the inclined plane 12 (the operating coupling between main support plane 14 and inclined plane 12 being guaranteed by the sliding-preventing material of which one, and preferably both, are made) and without, and a main support plane 17 arranged below the plane 14 which, during use, is aimed to rest on the ground.

Such tool 10 also comprises a plane 16 (Figure 6) shaped as a truncated pyramid and aimed for abutting on the ground for balance exercises.

Such tool 10 also comprises side planes 11A and 11B which comprise the holes 13A, 13B and 13C aimed to the abutment of the user's hands/feet.

The plane 17A, used for resting the hands when bending, comprises a recess 17B aimed to the abutment of the user's feet during rise and descent exercises (of the "step" type) on/from the tool 10. The plane 12 is free and without hooks: it is provided to simply rest it on the plane 14 for using the tool in a seating mode, both parallel to the ground, and inclined with respect to the ground .

The present invention will be further better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings 7 to 13, in which a subject is drawn when using the previously described tool. In particular:

Figure 7 shows the tool for its use for exercises in an elongated prone position;

Figure 8 shows the tool for its use for exercises of the "step" type, standing;

Figure 9 shows the tool for its use for exercises of flexure on arms;

Figure 10 shows the tool for its use in a seating position inclined with respect to the ground;

Figure 11 shows the tool for its use for traction exercises in a seating position with elongated legs; Figure 12 shows the tool for its use for exercises of bending on arms with straight legs in suspension; and

Figure 13 shows the tool for its use in a seating position in parallel to the ground.

As is clear from the above Figures, the versatility of the inventive tool obviously allows performing many other positions and many other exercises in addition to the described ones, using part of the shown structures, or providing such structures with further suitable accessories, which allow performing further exercises: all these exercises, positions and accessories fall within the scope of the present invention, as pointed out in the enclosed claims.

Moreover, even if the Figures show the tool 10 with an essentially cube or parallelepiped shape, it is obvious that it can assume any other shape adapted for the purpose of providing it with the maximum possible versatility for applications for which it is requested. For such purpose, the tool side or faces could be more or less than six, ane be shaped in a different way from the shown one. Moreover, the shown tool 10 is completely made of sliding-preventing material, but it could also employ such material only partly, or be made of any material useful for the purposes for which it is provided .

Moreover, as shown in Figures 14 to 20, the tool 10 of the invention find a practical and efficient application with at least one integrating tool for gymnastics (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150) for its equipment, which allows performing the following further exercises, referred to the enclosed Figures:

Figure 14: with an elastic 100 as tool, inserted into one of the holes 13A, 13B or 13C, exercises for improving the trophism and the muscular powering of upper limbs;

Figure 15: with two elastics (or a double elastic) 100 as tool, inserted into one of the holes 13A, 13B or 13C, exercises for improvond the trophism and the muscular powering of lower limbs;

Figure 16: with an elongated bar 110 as tool, inserted into one of the holes 13A, 13B or 13C, exercises for posture and kinestesic improvement;

Figure 17: with a series of balls 120 having different sizes as tool, to be sent in one of the holes 13A, 13B or 13C, exercises for improving the dynamic-general and specific coordination of some sports abilities;

Figure 18: with an elastico cushion 130 with plate base as tool, to be used as abutment of the body whose feet are possibly inserted into one of the holes 13A, 13B or 13C, exercises for improving the proprioceptivity;

Figure 19: with a cylinder-shaped elastic cushion 140 as tool, to be used as abutment of the body whose feet are possibly inserted into one of the holes 13A, 13B or 13C, exercises for improving the proprioceptivity; and

Figure 20: with a small rope 150 as tool, inserted into one of the holes 13A, 13B or 13C, exercises for developing the basic sense-motricity.
