Disclosed is a plasticized polyvinyl acetal composition which is suitable for an intermediate film for laminated glass, a binder for a multilayer ceramic, and other applications. The plasticized polyvinyl acetal composition is characterized in that in cases when a layer that is composed of the plasticized polyvinyl acetal composition and another resin layer such as a resin layer of a poly(meth)acrylate, a polycarbonate, a polyolefin or a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer are laminated, the plasticizer does not migrate from the polyvinyl acetal layer. Specifically disclosed is a polyvinyl acetal composition which contains 100 parts by mass of a polyvinyl acetal and 0.5-100 parts by mass of an ester-based plasticizer or ether-based plasticizer that has a melting point of 30˚C or less or is amorphous, while having a hydroxyl number of 15-450 mgKOH/g.
