Abstract:
The present invention provides: a polyvinyl-alcohol-based film that has superior dyeability as a raw material for a polarizing film, and that allows manufacturing of a polarizing film having superior polarizing performance at high productivity; a manufacturing method for the polyvinyl-alcohol-based film; and a polarizing film using said polyvinyl-alcohol-based film. The polyvinyl-alcohol-based film according to the present invention is characterized in that, one second after a droplet of n-hexadecane comes into contact therewith, the contact angle θ1S with respect to said n-hexadecane is 5-13º.
