Title:
POLYVINYL ALCOHOL-DEGRADING ENZYME AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/159497
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a novel PVA-degrading enzyme, the identity of which is revealed at the amino acid sequence level; a production method therefor; DNA coding for the enzyme; and recombinant DNA and a transformant which contain the DNA. The problem is solved by providing a polyvinyl alcohol-degrading enzyme having features (1) to (3), a production method therefor, DNA coding for the enzyme, and recombinant DNA and a transformant which contain the DNA having: (1) an activity of oxidizing polyvinyl alcohol and producing hydrogen peroxide; (2) an activity of hydrolyzing a β-diketone; and (3) a molecular weight of 100,000 ± 20,000 as determined through SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
