Abstract:
Disclosed is a polyvinyl alcohol resin composition with which a melt-molded article with superior gas barrier properties and flex fatigue resistance can be obtained. The resin composition includes a PVA resin (A) that is provided with 1, 2-diol units in the side chain, and a block copolymer (B) that is provided with a polymer block of an aromatic vinyl compound and a polymer block of a conjugated diene compound and/or a hydrogenated block thereof; wherein said block copolymer (B) is a combination of a block copolymer (B1) that is not provided with a carboxyl group and a block copolymer (B2) that has been modified by a carboxyl group-containing compound.
