Abstract:
The invention relates to a polyvinyl butyral recycling method based on obtaining recycled polyvinyl butyral (PVB) from laminated glass which is fragmented, separating the polyvinyl butyral (PVB), and the sheet obtained is cut up and subjected to surface cleaning to remove dirt and foreign materials. The method comprises the following phases, namely: a first phase involving the purification of the polyvinyl butyral (PVB) by means of a chemical treatment, using a reagent; and a later final chemical treatment phase, complementary to the first phase, using a reagent, in which the purification treatment is performed on the polyvinyl butyral (PVB) in the solid state, thereby obtaining fully purified polyvinyl butyral (PVB) that is ready for re-use in the production of laminated glass.
