Abstract:
In the case of this pop-up hood device for a vehicle (10), because an actuator (60) is connected to a swing arm (40) so as to be able to move relative thereto toward the upper side of the vehicle, when the actuator (60) pushes up a hinged arm (50) to a push-up position, the actuator (60) moves from the push-up position to a raised position due to vibration generated in the hood (12). In addition, at the raised position, an engagement piece of the actuator (60) engages with a connecting shaft unit (84) of the swing arm (40), thereby holding the actuator (60) at the raised position. The amplitude of the hood (12) at this time is approximately two times greater than the push-up amount by the actuator (60). Consequently, the push-up amount by the actuator (60) is less in comparison to a case in which the actuator (60) was to push up the hinged arm (50) to the push-up position, so the amplitude of the vibration of the hood (12) can be reduced.
