Abstract:
Disclosed are: a pig feed that contains at least 0.002% coenzyme Q10 by weight; a method in which pigs are raised on said feed in order to increase the vitamin E concentration or quality of their meat; a method for manufacturing pork with an increased vitamin E concentration; and pork with an increased vitamin E concentration. The disclosed feed is preferably provided at least during the period from one week before slaughter until slaughter. The provided method results in better-quality pork that contains at least 1 mg of vitamin E per 100 g of fat.
