Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a porous complex in which the uniform dispersibility of OCP is excellent and OCP and collagen are mixed sufficiently; and a bone regeneration material comprising the porous complex. [Solution] A porous complex comprising octacalcium phosphate and collagen, said porous material being characterized in that the fractal dimension (D) of agglomerated particles of octacalcium phosphate is 0.70 or more in an image which is produced by enlarging a 5.0 mm × 5.0 mm area that is a plane of the porous material 15 times with a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and being also characterized in that, among (a) a part composed of agglomerated particles of octacalcium phosphate, (b) a part composed of microparticles of octacalcium phosphate and collagen and (c) a part composed of collagen, the percentage of the area of (c) the part composed of collagen is 5% or less.
