Abstract:
This porous hollow fiber membrane is formed of a thermoplastic resin and is provided with a surface having a surface aperture ratio of 32-60% and a pore diameter of 300 nm or less, while having a compressive strength of 0.7 MPa or more. This porous hollow fiber membrane may be composed of at least two layers, and in cases where this porous hollow fiber membrane is composed of at least two layers, the surface of one layer has a trunk diameter of 0.3-20 μm and a pore diameter of 0.3-10 μm and the surface of another layer has a surface aperture ratio of 32-60% and a pore diameter of 0.05-0.3 μm.
