Title:
POROUS HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/012024
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a porous hollow fiber membrane which is capable of efficiently separating and removing a substance to be removed such as a small-diameter virus contained in a solution, while efficiently transmitting a useful substance to be recovered such as a high-concentration protein at the same time. [Solution] A porous hollow fiber membrane of the present invention is characterized by being composed of two components, namely a polysulfone polymer and a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate and by having an inner diameter of from 150 μm to 300 μm (inclusive) and a film thickness of more than 50 μm but 80 μm or less. The porous hollow fiber membrane is also characterized by having an asymmetric structure that has a dense layer as an outer layer.
