Abstract:
A porous membrane for secondary batteries, which contains non-conductive particles, a water-soluble polymer and a particulate binder. The non-conductive particles are organic particles; the water-soluble polymer is a copolymer that contains 20-50% by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer unit, 40-70% by weight of a (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer unit and 1-20% by weight of a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer unit; and the water-soluble polymer has a glass transition temperature of 30-80°C.
