Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a porous membrane which has high filtration performance in a process wherein turbidity is removed, by means of membrane filtration, from natural water, domestic waste water, and suspension that is obtained by processing natural water or domestic waste water, and which is suppressed in deterioration of the water permeability due to friction on the membrane surface. A porous membrane which is characterized in that the ratio of the porosity in a portion from the outermost surface of the water to be filtered-side surface to a depth that is 0.12% of the film thickness to the aperture ratio of the water to be filtered-side surface is 1.05 or more.
