Abstract:
A porous tantalum metal bone connector, applicable to treatment of limb fracture nonunion, bone nonunion, bone defects and the like. The porous tantalum metal bone connector comprises a body (1). Two ends of the body (1) are each provided with a medullary cavity handle (2). The medullary cavity handles (2) and the body (1) are integrally formed. At least one screw hole (3) is formed in each medullary cavity handle (2). The porous tantalum metal bone connector further comprises connecting screws (4) matching the screw holes (3). In the porous tantalum metal bone connector, a structure that the medullary cavity handles (2) and the body (1) are integrally formed is used, better mechanical strength is achieved, and the risk of prosthesis breakage is effectively reduced; the screw holes (3) are formed in the medullary cavity handles (2), so that the bone connector and a corresponding bone tissue can be fixed, thereby effectively reducing the problems of rotation and looseness of an artificial prosthesis that are likely to occur. The porous tantalum metal bone connector has a simple preparation method, low costs, facilitates implementation and clinical application, and satisfies demands of a majority of patients.
