Abstract:
The present invention relates to a portable aerosol generator for generating an aerosol by means of vaporizing an inhaled substance and, in particular, to a technology capable of sensing a malfunction in a heating operation of the portable aerosol generator, and controlling the heating operation so as to prevent overheating and/or malfunction of the generator. The portable aerosol generator according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a heater for heating according to an application of current; a battery capable of instantaneously supplying high power to the heater; a heater control circuit for adjusting the power supplied to the heater from the battery; a microcontroller for controlling an operation of the heater control circuit during a heating period; and an error control means installed separately from the microcontroller and connected to both the microcontroller and the heater control circuit so as to receive and calculate a control signal which travels from the microcontroller to the heater control circuit, while simultaneously controlling the operation of the heater control circuit according to a calculation result.
