[Problem] To provide a portable authentication device that can be used easily and is compatible with a plurality of security levels. [Solution] This electronic employee ID X100 is a card-sized electronic device that has prescribed electronic components incorporated inside a housing unit X110 having a thickness of no more than a few millimeters. The electronic employee ID X100 comprises: a fingerprint information acquisition unit X101 that is an authentication information acquisition unit; a BLE communication unit X102 that is a wireless personal area network communication unit; an NFC communication unit X103 that is a near-field communication unit; an electronic paper unit X104; an operation unit X105; a piezoelectric film sensor unit X106 that is a distortion detection unit; an acceleration sensor unit X107 that is an acceleration detection unit; a power source unit X108; a control unit X109; and the housing unit X110. The present invention makes it possible for a user to be authenticated through a plurality of authentication methods just by carrying the electronic employee ID X100.
