Description

A PORTABLE BAG WITH NECK SUPPORT

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates a portable handbag, and more particularly to a portable bag with a neck support placed to a neck portion of the back of a chair so that a passenger may lean against it with his/her neck to take a rest, and capable of receiving articles when being carried.

Background Art

[2] Generally, a modern person, who frequently takes official tours or journeys with seating on a chair provided with the back in transportation means such as airplane, automobile and ship, is apt to easily feel fatigued on his/her neck.

[3] A person who desires to take a sleep or rest on a seat in the transportation means generally requires a device or article to adhere or fix the neck portion conveniently since the person is exposed to continuous and irregular vibrations.

[4] To meet the above requirement, there is proposed 'an easily-carried pillar for protection of the neck' as in Korean Registration Utility Model Publication No. 20-258070.

[5] FlG. 1 is a perspective view showing a conventional neck-protecting pillar, which includes an air pillar 1 having a polyethylene vinyl tube and capable of controlling its length freely, and a fixing wing 3 inserted into a collar at the rear neck to fix the air pillar 1 so that the pillar may be used regardless of vibration when a user sleeps. In addition, after use or for carriage or storage, air is removed from the pillar and then pillar is folded so as to reduce the air pillar 1 to a one-sixth size and the fixing wing 3 to a half size, and then a fixing strop 5 and fixing pin concave and convex 4, 4' are used to fix the folded state, thereby facilitating easy carriage and storage.

[6] However, the neck-protecting pillar is inconvenient since it should be inserted into a collar at the rear neck of the user. In addition, the neck-protecting pillar may not be firmly fixed to various kinds of clothes, like the cases that there is no collar or a user wears a cloth to which the neck-protecting collar is not easily mounted.

[7] Moreover, after air is injected, the air pillar 1 should have a concave shape suitable for the neck of a person, but the air pillar has a straight shape whose both ends are circular, so the neck is not stably adhered and fixed thereto.

[8] In addition, the air pillar 1 is not easily repaired or exchanged when it is broken, and it may not be used semi-permanently, so there still remain many problems. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[9] The present invention is designed in consideration of the above problems, and therefore it is an object of the invention to provide a portable bag with a neck support, which may keep its original function as a bag having a receiving unit for receiving articles at ordinary times, but may also have a concave shape for fixing it to a neck portion suitably for the figure of a user at a long time journey, and give a convenient neck support, by inserting an exchangeable shrinkable tube by air injection into a free space of the receiving unit. Technical Solution

[10] In order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides a portable bag with a neck support, which comprises a main body including a first receiving unit having a cover at both ends to be opened or closed, and a second receiving unit formed on a rear side of the first receiving unit and deformed to expand or shrink thickness depending on a size of received articles; a fixing band made of elastic material and freely elongated and shrunken to fix the main body to the back of a chair, the fixing band being fixed to both ends of the main body by means of a hinge; and a tube capable of being inserted into a receiving space of the second receiving unit, both ends of the tube being wrinkled to form folding portions, an injection hole being formed in one side of the tube for air injection, a fixture being provided to the tube so as to restrain expansion of a center portion thereof when air is injected thereto.

[11] Preferably, a pair of Velcros, detachably from each other, are formed on an inner side of the cover of the first receiving unit and a side corresponding to the inner side of the cover.

Advantageous Effects

[12] By using the portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention, it may be utilized at ordinary times as a portable bag, which is its original usage, but it may be utilized as a convenient neck support by means of a concave tube received in a free receiving space therein when a user makes a long distance journey with seating on a chair, so it may effectively relieve the fatigue of the user at his/her neck portion.

[13] In addition, differently from a conventional neck protecting pillar that is hardly reused or repaired when being broken, the tube of the present invention may be exchanged with a new one when it is broken, so it may be used semi-permanently till the main body is broken and not used any more, which is very useful and efficient in terms of economy.

[20] FlG. 5 shows an operating state of the portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[21] Hereinafter, a portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention will be described in detail referring to the accompanying drawings.

[22] FlG. 2 is a perspective view showing a portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention.

[23] As shown in FlG. 2, the present invention includes a main body 10 having a first receiving unit 11 and a second receiving unit 12 for receiving articles, a fixing band 20 made of elastic materials and fixed to both ends of the main body 10, and a tube 30 that has a concave shape when being expanded by air injection, in brief.

[24] Reference numeral 15 denotes a handle strap, and reference numeral 16 denotes a detachment unit.

[25] The main body 10 has a shape of a common portable bag, which includes the first receiving unit 11 having covers 13 at both ends to be opened or closed and also having a pocket 14 for receiving articles, and the second receiving unit 12 formed on the rear side of the first receiving unit 11 and whose thickness may be deformed to be expanded or shrunken according to the size of received articles.

[26] A pair of mail and female Velcros 40, detachable from each other, are formed on the inner side of the cover 13 of the first receiving unit 11 and a side corresponding to the inner side of the cover 13. When the cover 13 is opened, the Velcro formed on the inner side of the cover 13 may be detachably attached to a Velcro formed on a neck portion seat of the back of a chair.

[27] Meanwhile, the fixing band 20 is made of elastic materials such as natural or synthetic rubber, and it may be freely elongated or shrunken so that it may be inserted and fixed to the back of a chair without Velcro. The fixing band 20 is fixed to both ends of the main body 10 by means of a hinge 21.

[28] The fixing band 20 that may rotate on the hinge 21 prevents the cover 13 from being opened, so it may prevent articles received in the pocket 14 from being taken out

and also it may be used as a pressing means required for discharging air from the tube 30.

[29] Meanwhile, FlG. 3a shows the tube 30, an essential component of the present invention, before air is injected therein, and FlG. 3b shows the tube 30, an essential of the present invention, after air is injected therein.

[30] As shown in FlGs. 3a and 3b, the tube 30 is made of synthetic resin such as polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene vinyl, and it may be inserted into a receiving space of the second receiving unit 12. Both ends of the tube 30 are wrinkled to form a folding portion 31, and the center of the tube 30 is fixed using a fixture 33 so as to restrain expansion when air is injected. In addition, the tube 30 may be expanded by means of air injection through an injection hole 32 prepared its one side.

[31] In addition, when the tube 30 fixed by the fixture 33 is expanded, the tube 30 forms a concave shape as a whole, so it may give stable and convenient feeling in accordance with the figures of various users depending on an amount of injected air, and it may also act as a buffer protecting the neck portion of the user, which is fragile against impact caused by sudden accidents.

[32] Moreover, differently from a conventional neck protecting pillar that is hardly reused or repaired when being broken, the tube 30 may be exchanged with a new one when it is broken, so it may be used semi-permanently till the main body 10 is broken and not used any more, which is very useful and efficient in terms of economy.

[33] An embodiment of the present invention configured as above is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[34] FlG. 4a is a plane view showing a portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention, which is corresponding to FlG. 3a, FlG. 4b is a plane view showing the portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention, which is corresponding to FlG. 3b, and FlG. 5 shows an operating state of the portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention.

[35] As shown in FlGs. 4a, 4b and 5, air is injected into the tube 30 (see FlG. 3) included in the second receiving unit so that the tube 30 is expanded. After that, in case Velcro is prepared to a neck portion seat of the back of a chair, the cover 13 is opened to conform to the neck position of a user, and then the main body 10 is attached and fixed thereto by means of the Velcro 40. Then, the user places his/her neck to the main body 10, and the main body 10 is closely adhered and fixed.

[36] In addition, in case Velcro is not prepared to the neck portion seat of the back of a chair, the fixing band 20 is elongated and inserted into the back of a chair. Then, the user places his/her neck thereto and the main body 10 is closely adhered and fixed.

[37] Also, the Velcro 40 and the fixing band 20 may be used together so as to closely adhere and fix the main body 10 more firmly.

[38] As described above, it would be understood that the present invention is basically directed to providing a portable bag with a neck support, which may keep its original function as a bag having a receiving unit for receiving articles at ordinary times, but may also give a convenient neck support function by fixing the main body to a neck portion of the back of a chair at a long time journey and inserting a tube expanded by air injection.

[39] In addition, many applications and modifications may be used by those skilled in the art within the scope of basic technical spirit of the present invention. Industrial Applicability

[40] By using the portable bag with a neck support according to the present invention configured as above, the portable bag may keep its original function as a bag at ordinary times, but it may also give a convenient neck support function by means of the concave tube inserted into a free receiving space at a long time journey, so it may very effectively relieve the fatigue at the neck portion of a user.

[41] In addition, differently from a conventional neck protecting pillar that is hardly reused or repaired when being broken, the tube may be exchanged with a new one when broken, so it may be used semi-permanently till the main body is broken and not used any more, which is very useful and efficient in terms of economy.
